The Grimm Conclusion: Week of 2/24/13
Pages Read: 65 - 354
I read the first two books last year and they the author, Adam Gidwitz, came to the school. It was entertaining and he said that the last book of the series would be coming out soon. I couldn't wait, now that I'm reading it, it is amazing. So far out of all three books, I enjoyed the first one the most and this one, the third one, the second most. That could change though. The one thing that makes this series unique it that it is all gory. It makes it more entertaining to read.
What surprises me the most is that the book is so amazing, gory, and impossible at the same time. I love all three, but it surprises me that they can all be put in a book and the book could still be good. I get that the book can be amazing and gory at the same time, but being impossible also is, well, impossible. I love impossible things and I love reading about them and watching movies about them, but I never read a book that has all three qualities and is still a great book. Before I read this book, I would of thought that it would be weird and just not a good book. I would of been wrong.
Somebody should read this book because it is just an amazing book. Someone should also read this book because it is gory. I mean, everyone loves gory. All the blood and disgusting things keep you on your toes, and what else would you want in a book. Somebody should not read this book if the puke at the sight of blood. If you are someone who has hemophobia, then you should definitely not read this book. You would be crying and puking at least three times every chapter. I'm pretty sure once you get in the book, you will not want to stop to clean up the puke.

Reflection on Blogging
Over the past six months, my blogging has improved. I have been using the words I learned throughout the year. I also have been writing better in my blogs. I improved my grammar and spelling. I used to spell words wrong and forget to add a word every now and then. It made my blog make less sense, but now that I spell words right and make sure my sentences make sense, it makes my blogs have much more sense. The one thing I still have to work in is the amount that I write. I used to write really long blogs, but as the time has placed they be came shorter and shorter. That is pretty much the only thing that I need to work on and that is easy to fix.
One of my favorite blogs have to be the one where I wrote in a different perspective. It was called My Name is Quill as in Wild Life: This is My Big Adventure. This blog was a pleasure to write. I was very happy with the outcome. I have to say that the one characteristic that made it the best blog would have to be all of the links to click on. It made it more entertaining to read. The survey that I put in helped make it entertaining as well. I also like that I got to write it in a dogs perspective.

Dark Souls: Week of 2/17/14
Pages Read: Finished
The setting is in a small town called York in the United Kingdom. They stay on a small street called the Shambles. There are paved roads and little shops up and down it. All the buildings look modern except one, the one that Miranda can see outside her window. It is centuries old and has every window broadened up, except one. The street is filled with many people during the day. It is cold and there is snow on the ground. Maybe, the right amount of snow for an adventure.
Miranda is someone who went through a lot. She was in a car crash, and witnessed her friend die. She then even saw her friend's ghost, and more after that. She was confused, about seeing ghosts, when she
met Nick she realized that she was not only. Nick helped her cope with the whole ghost thing and Miranda helped Nick cope with him losing his brother. At the end, Miranda helped Nick the most. Miranda helped Nick get free from his brother who was using him to get revenge.
The character I would like to meet would be Nick. He doesn't seem like the average person. For one, he can see ghosts and understand what they want. Plus, he ran away from home because his brother's ghost told him to. Some questions I would ask are:

"Moving Can Be Great"
This found poem is about a girl moving to Palm Springs from Dallas and thought she would miss it, but actually she loves it! There are fresh, new smells when you wake up, and the sky is clear throughout the day. The background is the sky with only a few clouds, the red border represents the "burning candle flames." At the end, she realizes that Palm Springs will be great, so she officially says bye-bye to Dallas.
"Dogs"
I based my spine poem off of dogs. It is about how dogs are important in life and how they can be loyal and do anything for you. They can be good or bad, but at the end we always love them. We can give them weird names and still love them. We can love them so much that, we would do anything for them. At the end, it is the dog who helped the most.
*The last book is "Dog Heroes".

Dark Souls: Two Voice Poem
"Jenna"
Miranda Rob
Jenna was funny
Jenna
was annoying
Jenna made my day
She
really wanted to go to the party
I couldn’t say no
She really wanted to see
The foreign exchange student
We
just had to go
The party was fun
The
party was boring
Jenna was singing
Tike she always does
Jenna
was dancing
Like
she always does
She was
having fun
I
thought it was funny
I
thought it was annoying
Is doesn’t matter now
The
car came out of nowhere
It
hit us hard
I
couldn’t breathe
I
didn’t know what to do
I
woke in a panic
I
climb out of the window
Called
for help
I
started shouting
Police
came
Found
Jenna died
I
saw her
I saw police
Cutting me out
Cutting me out
I
knew she wouldn’t
Forget
me
I
knew that I wouldn’t
Be
in a car for a long time
Jenna
was special
Jenna
was different
Jenna
shaped me
Jenna
annoied me
I
won’t forget her
I
should’ve saved her
But
still
She’s
gone
I
can’t do anything
About
that
All
I can do is
Love Her

Dark Souls: Week of 4/3/14
Pages Read: 35 - 292
I think the main character, Miranda, would be a great friend. First of all, she befriend a girl whose name was also Jenna. Sadly, she dies, but Miranda was her only friend since Jenna moved there. Miranda seems like a nice person who loves to hang out with her friends. I think that Miranda would be a trustworthily and loyal to me. She seems to care a lot about her friends and that make her a great friend.
I drew what I read in the prologue. The main character, Miranda, was coming home from a party with her friend and her brother. It was pitch black out and all of the sudden a car rams into them. Miranda is able to get out of the car and call for help. When help arrives the let her sit down and relax. She was doing fine until she found out that her friend had died. She fought back tears until she suddenly saw her friend walking towards her. Miranda looked back to the car and saw her friend still strapped in and died. Miranda's friend brushed her hand through Miranda's hair and walked into the corn field. Miranda then got up and started to yell for her friend to come back, but she never did.
